National and Provincial Assembly Candidates Launch Campaign in Sepon District

KPL On Feb. 8, 2026, Candidates for the 10th National Assembly representing Constituency 13 of Savannakhet Province and candidates for the 5th Provincial People’s Council from Sepon District officially launched their election campaigns on Saturday, holding presentations at the Nabor village cluster and the Sepon District Hall.

(KPL) On Feb. 8, 2026, Candidates for the 10th National Assembly representing Constituency 13 of Savannakhet Province and candidates for the 5th Provincial People’s Council from Sepon District officially launched their election campaigns on Saturday, holding presentations at the Nabor village cluster and the Sepon District Hall.

The events were attended by district authorities, local officials, village leaders, and eligible voters.

Officials reported that 28 candidates, including seven women, are contesting seats for the National Assembly in Constituency 13, with 21 seats to be filled. In Sepon District, seven candidates, including two women, are running for the Provincial People’s Council, with five seats available.

Candidates presented their backgrounds and policy priorities and encouraged citizens to participate in the national vote scheduled for Feb. 22.

Sepon District has a population of 69,936, including 34,928 women. Authorities have registered 40,350 eligible voters, including 19,510 women, with 65 polling stations established across the district.

During the campaign meetings, residents raised development concerns, particularly regarding local livelihoods and economic opportunities. Candidates pledged to reflect public concerns in their future work.

The campaign also emphasized achieving the four “100 percent” targets for the election: full voter participation, strict legal compliance, comprehensive security, and transparency throughout the electoral process.
