(KPL/Prensa Latina) An Irish organization filed a complaint on Monday to the European Ombudsman against the European Commission (EC), accusing it of using ChatGPT to generate official responses, Euractiv reported.

The complaint questions the transparency of the community body and points out that a document sent to ombudsmen exhibits characteristics of having been generated with artificial intelligence (AI).

Experts criticize the apparent double standard of the European Union (EU), which regulates the use of AI while employing it internally, violating its guidelines.

They consider that this evidence a lack of seriousness and transparency in its management.

The website notes that the Ombudsman assesses launching a formal investigation.

The EC, in turn, declined to clarify whether it used such tools, arguing the internal nature of its regulations.
