50th Anniversary Medals Awarded to Former and Senior Party and State Leaders

KPL The Central Committee of the Party and State held a ceremony on 20 November 2025 to award commemorative medals to former and senior leaders in recognition of their contributions to the nation. The event was attended by past and present leaders and representatives from relevant institutions.

(KPL) The Central Committee of the Party and State held a ceremony on 20 November 2025 to award commemorative medals to former and senior leaders in recognition of their contributions to the nation. The event was attended by past and present leaders and representatives from relevant institutions.

The ceremony marks the 50th anniversary of the Lao people’s victory in the national democratic revolution and honours the achievements and sacrifices of President Kaysone Phomvihane, President Souphanouvong, revolutionary leaders, heroes, cadres, party members, and citizens of all ethnic groups who fought for national liberation and the establishment of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic on 2 December 1975.

Comrade Vilayvong Boudakham, Member of the Party Central Committee and Deputy Head of the Party Central Organisation Committee, presented Presidential Decrees No. 242, 243, and 244, dated 17 November 2025, authorising the awarding of the 50th Anniversary Medal to senior Party and State leaders for their outstanding achievements and contributions to national protection and development.
