(KPL) On July 14, Party Secretary General and State President Thongloun Sisoulith warmly received young Party leaders from provinces along the Lao-Vietnamese-Cambodian borders, who are participating in the third special training programme held from July 8 to 15 in Vientiane, the Lao PDR.

Comrade Thongloun extended a heartfelt welcome and high appreciation for the achievements of the special training programme dedicated to young cadres from the three Parties of Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. The programme is hosted by the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party in line with a recent agreement reached by the top Party leaders of the three countries.

He commended the young delegates from the three countries for their enthusiastic and constructive exchange of ideas, particularly regarding socio-economic development, tourism, culture, and other sectors.

He stressed that such exchanges not only promote mutual learning but also significantly contribute to the development of each country and further strengthen the traditional friendship, solidarity, and multifaceted cooperation among the Parties, governments and peoples of the three countries.

The Secretary General compared the close bond among Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia to a three-legged cooking stand, symbolizing the inseparable nature of their relationship. He emphasized that their shared unity, mutual support, and deep-rooted friendship are a precious asset and a powerful force that contributed greatly to their past struggles for national liberation and remain vital in the current efforts to protect and develop their respective nations.

On this occasion, Comrade Thongloun also shared key national development achievements tied to the implementation of the country’s two strategic national agendas, outcomes of the 10th Plenary Session of the Party Central Committee (11th tenure), and preparations for the upcoming 12th National Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party in early 2026. He highlighted progress made in various priority areas and encouraged the trainees to recognize and build upon the strong foundation of unity among the three Parties and nations.

He called on the young Party leaders to continue fostering and expanding their cooperation, ensuring that the solidarity among the Indochinese nations flourishes further. Their efforts, he said, will play a vital role in upholding and advancing the longstanding friendship among the three Parties, governments, and peoples.

At the conclusion of the meeting, representatives of the young leaders from Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia expressed their sincere gratitude to Comrade Thongloun for the warm and fraternal reception. They acknowledged the importance of his guidance and committed to applying his advice in their respective roles, contributing meaningfully to the trilateral cooperation among the three Parties and nations.
