(KPL/Prensa Latina) The 18th International Seminar on Journalism and Tourism opens on Monday, focused on current travel trends and their global promotion.
The Seminar, active from June 16 to 20, includes academic sessions in the halls of the Jose Marti International Institute of Journalism, where lectures related to current travel trends in Cuba and the world will be held.
Sponsored by the Circle of Tourist Press at the Union of Cuban Journalists (UPEC), this event is attended by tour operators and travel agents every year.
Deputy Tourism Minister Adalberto Venero opened the event. A lecture on Content Strategies, with a practical case of the Melia Trinidad Peninsula Hotel, by the hotel chain’s social manager Lysielle Mora, is included in Monday’s activities.
This edition also focuses on issues related to nature, adventure, and rural travel.
The meeting, aimed at journalists, communicators, and other professionals, is an ideal space to analyze global trends in tourism and communication, with emphasis on topics of primary interest such as the rise of ecotourism and the impact of artificial intelligence (AI).
