(KPL/Prensa Latina)  The last intake at 5:00 p.m. and the next one the next morning, involve intermittent fasting, an effective formula for weight loss, and improving cardiovascular health.

This conclusion, released today, was reached by the research carried out by the Universities of Granada (UGR) and the Public University of Navarra, together with the Biomedical Research Networking Center (Ciber).

According to sources from the Center of High Studies in Granada, not eating anything from 5 p.m. until 9 a.m. the next day, helps to improve the regulation of glycemia and reduce subcutaneous abdominal fat.

The analysis published in the journal Nature Medicine indicates that in Spain, the prevalence of overweight and obesity reaches 70% in men and 50% in women.

It is associated with multiple metabolic disorders such as type 2 diabetes and exponentially increases the risk of developing cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and certain types of cancer.

In a press release, the UGR pointed out that intermittent fasting is a nutritional strategy that helps maintain a daily cycle, stabilizing our body’s biological rhythms.
