(KPL) On November 21, 2024, Vice President Bounthong Chitmany, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Party, officially welcomed Ms. Fang Hong, the newly appointed Chinese Ambassador to Laos.

Vice President Bounthong extended his congratulations to Ambassador Fang Hong on her appointment, emphasizing the trust placed in her by the Chinese Party, Government, and people to strengthen diplomatic relations with Laos. He expressed confidence that her tenure would further enhance the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the two countries, fostering even greater achievements in their bilateral relations.

In response, Ambassador Fang Hong thanked Vice President Bounthong for his warm reception and affirmed her commitment to promoting the enduring friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Laos. She pledged to work towards strengthening the stability and mutual benefits of their collaboration.

This meeting marks a positive step in the continued development of the China-Laos relationship, reflecting the deep bond and shared goals of both nations.
