Laos, Hungary celebrate 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties

KPL (KPL) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR in cooperation with the Embassy of Hungary in Laos organized a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the deplomatic relations between Laos and Hungary.

(KPL) The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR in cooperation with the Embassy of Hungary in Laos organized a celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the deplomatic relations between Laos and Hungary.

 The cerebration was held in Vientiane on Sep 12 in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Khomasith, and Ambassador of Hungary to Laos Mr. Sándor Sipos.

Delivering remarks at the ceremony, Mr. Saleumxay Khomasith expressed his appreciations on the successful cooperation between the two governments and peoples of Laos and Hungary over the past six decades.He noted that the cooperation in various fields between the two countries including politics, finance, economy and trade, education, agriculture, culture, tourism has continued to grow with both sides having maintained regular exchange of visits of officials at various levels.

As strategic partners, the two countries have also supported each other in regional and international arenas.

On this occasion, both sides expressed their desire to continue to strengthen their sound cooperative relationship over years to come.

A friendship tree planting event was also organized at Anuvong Park in Vientiane along with a friendship badminton event to mark the 60th anniversary of Laos-Hungary friendship.
