KPL (KPL) Champassak Governor Bounthong Divisay received in Champassak Province on Nov 6 a courtesy call for Country Director of Asian Development Bank (ADB) to Laos, Mr Yasushi Negishi.

(KPL) Champassak Governor Bounthong Divisay received in Champassak Province on Nov 6 a courtesy call for Country Director of Asian Development Bank  (ADB) to Laos, Mr Yasushi Negishi.

Mr Yasushi Negishi and his delegation as well as local media are on a working visit to Champassak (Nov 6-7) to visit two ADB-supported projects - Strengthening Higher Education, and Strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training.

Champassak Governor Bounthong Divisay highly valued the visit to Champassak Province by Mr Yasushi Negishi and  his delegation as a contribution to strengthening the cooperation with the province especially on human resource development.

“Every year, ADB organises a media tour to allow local journalists to learn about the people affected by the development projects ADB supports and the challenges they are facing,” said Mr Yasushi Negishi.

Since 1990, ADB has supported strengthening education. Currently, ADB focuses its support on the education of secondary schools, Universities and vocational training schools.
