KPL (KPL) Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith has reiterated the government will establish a team to investigate Xepian-Xe Nam Noy tragedy which has cause a huge loss to people’s lives and property in Sanamxay district, Attapeu Province.

(KPL) Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith has reiterated the government will establish a team to investigate Xepian-Xe Nam Noy tragedy which has cause a huge loss to people’s lives and property in Sanamxay district, Attapeu Province.

When visiting the centre for donations for flood victims in southern Laos at the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare in Vientiane on Jul 29, the Prime Minister said “the government will implement the investigation of this incident strictly to find out the cause and will inspect the companies who designed the construction, construction contractors, consultancy company of the dam project, as well as the responsibility of all authorities in the most responsible, transparent and just manner.”

The government will cooperate with the governments of the registered companies of the Xepian-Xe Nam Noy hydropower development project to settle the dam issue, according to PM Thongloun.
