KPL (KPL) Vice President Phankham Viphavanh on Jul 21 received outgoing Austrian and Finnish ambassadors to Laos, Mr Enno Drofeni and Mr Ilkka Pekka Simila, respectively, as the two diplomats have fulfilled their diplomatic missions in Laos.

(KPL) Vice President Phankham Viphavanh on Jul 21 received outgoing Austrian and Finnish ambassadors to Laos, Mr Enno Drofeni and Mr Ilkka Pekka Simila, respectively, as the two diplomats have fulfilled their diplomatic missions in Laos.

During the cordial talks at the Presidential Palace in Vientiane Capital, Vice President Phankham Viphavanh appreciated his guests upon their completion of diplomatic duties in Laos saying that their hard work over the past three years has contributed significantly to the enhancement of the friendly relations and cooperation between Laos and their respective countries.

The vice president expressed gratitude to the people and governments of Austria and Finland for their generous support and assistance to the Lao PDR over the past years, especially for projects on sustainable development, forest recourses sustainable allocation, environment management, capacity building for national mapping authorities and legal institutes thus contributing to the socio-economic development in Laos.

In reply, Ambassadors Enno Drofeni and Ilkka Pekka Simila assured the vice president that he would continue to contribute to strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between Laos and their respective countries.
