(KPL) On January 7, 2026 in Vientiane,   Ms. Vanmany Phimmasane, Secretary of the Party Grassroots Committee of the Department of Industry and Commerce of Vientiane, has expressed her honor and pride in serving as a delegate representing Vientiane at the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.

In an interview on January 7, Ms. Vanmany said that participating in the Congress is a significant and memorable occasion, and a great honor for her as both a civil servant and a Party member to take part in such an important national political event.

She noted that the Congress holds profound importance for the country’s overall development, particularly in guiding socio-economic progress. In relation to her sector, she explained that the Department of Industry and Commerce now carries expanded responsibilities, as the energy and mining sectors have been integrated into its scope of work.

Drawing from the Political Reports and socio-economic development plans presented at the Congress, Ms. Vanmany said that the Party Grassroots Committee is committed to embracing the spirit and resolutions of the Congress and translating them into concrete actions.

She emphasized that priority will be given to promoting commercial production and increasing exports in order to generate foreign currency and contribute to national development. At the same time, the department will focus on developing and strengthening Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their competitiveness both domestically and internationally.

Ms. Vanmany stressed that the ultimate goal is to ensure that Lao products are able to compete effectively within the ASEAN region and the global market, and reaffirmed her confidence that the resolutions of the 12th National Party Congress will be implemented with high efficiency and tangible results.
