Representatives of the Union of Russian Writers and the presidency of the National Union of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) met in Havana on Monday to strengthen cultural ties and promote joint projects.
This result was achieved in an afternoon of confessions, music, poetry, and laughter, the cultural organization stated in a press release.
UNEAC President Marta Bonet, that organization’s First Vice President Magda Resik, International Relations director Jorge Nuñez, and poet Alberto Marrero participated in the meeting.
Cuban authors and musicians joined the event held at UNEAC’s Villena Hall in Havana.
In a meeting with the presidency, the visitors emphasized that they aim to establish collaboration agreements that foster concrete actions to promote mutual art and literature.
Both sides expressed gratitude for the legacy that cultural ties have left in their respective nations and agreed on the importance of strengthening exchanges
