(KPL/VNA) Vietnam Cycle Expo 2025, a major international event in Vietnam for bicycles, electric bikes, electric motorcycles, motorcycles and accessories, will return to Ho Chi Minh City in August.

The expo, the tenth edition co-organised by the VINEXAD company under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) and the Vietnam Automobile, Motorcycle and Bicycle Association (VAMOBA), will feature more than 400 booths by leading domestic and international companies.

The event will display products with improved quality and designs, and products equipped with new technologies. Visitors have a chance to directly experience two-wheeled vehicles, and meet with professional coaches and athletes.

Within the framework of expo, seminars will help businesses meet experts in the two-wheeled vehicle industry, and seek investment opportunities in the industry.

Notably, Vietnam Cycle Expo 2025 will coincide with the Vietnam Sport Show 2025, an international exhibition on sports and outdoor entertainment. This combination creates a large-scale series of industry-wide exhibitions with over 500 booths, expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors in the three-day event from August 14.

According to Mordor Intelligence, the global bicycle market is expected to reach 69 billion USD in 2029, with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 4.2% during 2024–2029.

In Vietnam, the trend of using bicycles for exercise and daily transportation is becoming more popular, especially in large cities.

Statista, a German market research company, forecasts that the revenue of the bicycle industry in Vietnam could reach 371.8 million USD by 2027, with about 2.49 million units sold. Meanwhile, the electric motorbike (E2W) market has grown by 30%–35% per year, making Vietnam the largest electric vehicle market in Southeast Asia.

Last year, Vietnam Cycle Expo 2024 obtained remarkable results with the participation of more than 200 enterprises from 12 countries and territories, including Taiwan (China), Germany, the Netherlands, the Republic of Korea (RoK), the US, Japan, France, Singapore, Switzerland, China, Italy, and Vietnam.

It attracted more than 12,000 visitors from 45 countries and territories, and many cooperation contracts were signed during the event.
