The 2nd Extraordinary Session of the 9th National Assembly concluded today, March 20, after approving revised growth targets and amendments to the constitution, laws, and other documents of national importance.

(KPL) The 2nd Extraordinary Session of the 9th National Assembly concluded today, March 20, after approving revised growth targets and amendments to the constitution, laws, and other documents of national importance.
The closing ceremony was attended by Party Secretary General and State President Thongloun Sisoulith, along with other senior Party and government leaders, as well as members of the National Assembly.

Held from March 17 to 20, the session addressed several critical issues, including a report on the improvement of public governance for 2025, amendments to two major legal codes: the Local Administration Law and the Civil Servant Law, a government report on national administrative work, and an investigative report on special policies for investors in the industrial sector.
The National Assembly also urged the government to expedite the translation of the session’s resolutions—including targets, policies, and measures—into actionable legal instruments.
This session marks a significant step in strengthening governance, refining legal frameworks, and advancing national development priorities.
