KPL (KPL/VNA) Vietnam’s Party, State, and people strongly support Laos in its ongoing national reform efforts, stated Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency in Vientiane ahead of the 70th anniversary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) (March 22, 1955 – 2025).

(KPL/VNA) Vietnam’s Party, State, and people strongly support Laos in its ongoing national reform efforts, stated Vietnamese Ambassador Nguyen Minh Tam in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency in Vientiane ahead of the 70th anniversary of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) (March 22, 1955 – 2025).

According to the diplomat, over the past seven decades, the LPRP has continuously studied and developed policies suited to the country’s specific historical and socio-economic conditions. Notably, since 1986, the Party has closely assessed the country’s realities, drawn on international experience, and formulated sound policies to advance socialism. It has also worked to strengthen the people's democratic system, build an independent and self-reliant economy, and mobilise national unity to protect, develop, and consolidate its new political system.

The diplomat praised such remarkable achievements, which have significantly contributed to the country’s development and prosperity. He stressed that these accomplishments not only benefit Laos but also serve as a source of encouragement for Vietnam in its own efforts toward national development, modernisation, and development.

He expressed his belief that Laos will continue achieving new milestones in its reform journey, successfully implementing its 11th National Party Congress Resolution and preparing for the next congress in early 2026 toward its vision of a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified, and prosperous nation on the path of socialism.

Tam also said the deep-rooted and exceptional Vietnam-Laos relationship, founded by President Ho Chi Minh, Lao presidents Kaysone Phomvihane and Souphanouvong and nurtured by generations of leaders and citizens of both countries, has grown soundly and effectively across all sectors.

The ties continue to bring tangible benefits to both nations and play a crucial role in regional and global peace, stability, cooperation, and development, the ambassador noted.
