(KPL) On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, Mr. Sayadeth Phouyavong, a member of the National Assembly for the 13th constituency (Savannakhet Province), expressed his deep gratitude and admiration for the Party, the revolutionary veterans, and the multi-ethnic people of Laos who sacrificed their lives to fight for national liberation.

Their efforts brought independence, freedom, and territorial integrity to the Lao people, achieving victory for the nation.

In an interview with the Lao News Agency on February 13, 2025, Mr. Sayadeth Phouyavong stated: “Over the past 70 years, under the clear-sighted leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, our nation has achieved continuous development. In particular, the work of the National Assembly and the Savannakhet Provincial People’s Council has grown significantly in both scale and quality, achieving remarkable successes in legislation, addressing fundamental national issues, and fulfilling the historic mission entrusted by the Party and the people. These efforts have actively contributed to the overall achievements of safeguarding and developing the nation along the path toward socialism, enhancing the role and influence of the Party, the state, and the Lao nation in regional and international arenas. The people’s right to self-determination has been strengthened, and the people’s democratic system has been continuously improved and elevated.”

Mr. Sayadeth Phouyavong further emphasized: “To continue the mission of safeguarding and developing the nation, as well as leading the Lao people along the path to socialism, we must unite in the face of current economic and financial challenges. Party members, civil servants, the armed forces, and the multi-ethnic people of Laos must continue to support and trust the Party’s clear-sighted leadership. We must enhance our proactive role in implementing the two national agendas, particularly Resolution 04 of the Party Central Committee, which focuses on building an independent and self-reliant economy in the new era. Our goal is to strengthen the people’s democratic state, ensuring the people’s prosperity and happiness, and building a just and prosperous society.”
