KPL A delegation led by Mr. Oh Myung Hwan, President of the Republic of Korea-Laos Friendship Association, met in Vientiane on Monday, Dec 16 with their counterparts during the 13th annual meeting of the Korea-Laos Friendship Associations.

(KPL) A delegation led by Mr. Oh Myung Hwan, President of the Republic of Korea-Laos Friendship Association, met in Vientiane on Monday, Dec 16 with their counterparts during the 13th annual meeting of the Korea-Laos Friendship Associations.

The Korean delegation is on a working visit to Laos from Dec 16-20.

The meeting was co-chaired by Mr. Khamsuay Keodalavong, President of the Laos-Republic of Korea Friendship Association, and Mr. Oh Myung Hwan, President of the Republic of Korea-Laos Friendship Association.

Also in attendance were Mr. Jung Yung Soo, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Lao PDR, and other representatives from both sides.

The meeting reviewed the achievements of the collaboration between the two associations over the past year, with a particular focus on their successful contributions to development in the Lao PDR. 

Key areas of collaboration included educational infrastructure development, agriculture, public health, and human resources development. Additionally, both associations have supported the construction of schools, provision of medical supplies, clothing, and educational equipment to low-income communities.

During the meeting, both sides discussed plans for future collaboration, particularly joint activities for the coming year.

Both parties agreed to continue working together to strengthen mutual understanding, promote solidarity, and deepen collaboration between the peoples of both countries, with the goal of contributing to peace, trust, and greater cooperation between the two nations.
