KPL The 2024 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit, slated for November, will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), according to the organizers.

(Xinhua/KPL​) The 2024 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit, slated for November, will focus on artificial intelligence (AI), according to the organizers.

The summit will hold over 20 sub-forums on topics such as the Global Development Initiative, coordinated digital and green development, digital economy, and AI technological innovation and governance, among others.

The WIC will establish a special committee on AI during the summit, the organizers said.

This year's event will also feature new activities including the WIC Distinguished Contribution Award, which will honor individuals and enterprises that have made significant contributions to the global internet sector and relevant sectors.

The summit is set to take place in Wuzhen, east China's Zhejiang Province, from Nov. 19 to 22.
