Lao ambassador meets Turkish President

KPL (KPL) On April 25, at the Presidential Palace of Turkiye, Ankara, Turkiye, Mr Ratsamy Keomany presented a letter of credence to President of the Republic of Turkiye Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan so serve as Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Turkiye.

(KPL) On April 25, at the Presidential Palace of Turkiye, Ankara, Turkiye, Mr Ratsamy Keomany presented a letter of credence to President of the Republic of Turkiye Mr Recep Tayyip Erdogan so serve as Ambassador of the Lao PDR to Turkiye.

The ambassador has his office in Switzerland.

At amicable talks, the new Lao Ambassador conveyed to the President greetings from President Thongloun Sisoulith.

He praised the success of bilateral cooperation between Laos and Turkiye throughout the past six decades (1958-2024).

He expressed his appreciation on the achievement of socio-economic development in Turkiye as well as the country’s political and security role in maintaining peace and stability in the region and international community.

The Turkish President appreciated the Lao ambassador for his appointment to the post and wished him success in carrying out his duties thus promoting and strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation between Laos and Turkiye.

The Lao ambassador also met with the Director of the Department of Diplomacy and the Director of the Asia-Pacific Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Lao Honorary Consul in Turkiye. They highly valued the bilateral relations between the two countries and identified directions for years to come.

They agreed that the two countries will focus on the priorities that the two countries share potentials namely education, tourism, trade and investment.

two sides will also increase cooperation within multilateral frameworks such as ASEAN, ASEM, ACD and the United Nations.

The Lao PDR and Turkiye established diplomatic relations on June 26, 1958.
