President Thongloun Sisoulith was reelected as Secretary General of the 12th Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party on January 8.
The 12th Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party has 73 members including President Thongloun Sisoulith, and President of the National Assembly Saysomphone Phomvihanh and Prime Minister Sonesay Siphandone.
The closing ceremony of the 3-day 12th National Congress of the Party on Thursday also witnessed the announcement of the politburo of the 12th Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.
The 13-member politburo is comprised of Thongloun Sisoulith, Xaysomphone Phomvihane, Sonexay Siphandone, Khamphan Phommathat, Kikeo Khaikhamphithoune, Vilay Lakhamfong, Sisay Leudethmounsone, Saleumxay Kommasith, Khamphan Pheuiyavong, Thongsalith Mangnormek, Phet Phomphiphack, Khamlieng Outhakaysone and Vansay Phongsavanh.
