National Assembly to Hold 10th Ordinary Session on 10 November

KPL The 10th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly’s 9th Legislature will take place from 10 to 21 November 2025 at the National Assembly in Vientiane. The meeting will span 10 working days, excluding public holidays.




(KPL) The 10th Ordinary Session of the National Assembly’s 9th Legislature will take place from 10 to 21 November 2025 at the National Assembly in Vientiane. The meeting will span 10 working days, excluding public holidays.

Ms Amphayvone Lombounpheng, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, and Secretary General of the National Assembly, announced the session on 4 November. She said lawmakers will review and adopt key national policies and development plans.

Key items on the agenda include reports on the implementation of the 9th National Socio-Economic Development Plan, the State Budget Plan, and the National Agendas on addressing economic and financial difficulties as well as drug issues for the 2021–2025 period.

Lawmakers will also deliberate on draft plans for the next five-year cycle (2026–2030), including the 10th National Socio-Economic Development Plan and the State Budget and Monetary Plans for 2026.

In addition, the session will consider budget revisions for 2025, final audit results for 2024, and reports from the State Audit Organization, the State Inspection Authority, the Supreme People’s Court, and the Supreme People’s Prosecutor’s Office.

The National Assembly will also review preparations for the upcoming elections of the 10th Legislature and the Provincial People’s Councils (5th Legislature). Certificates of completion and commendations will be awarded to members of the outgoing 9th Legislature.

The Assembly is expected to adopt eight resolutions covering the work of the government, state audit and inspection agencies, the judiciary, and the National Assembly itself.

To encourage public participation, a hotline (number 156) has been opened for citizens to submit feedback and suggestions between 3 and 21 November during official working hours.
