(KPL) The United States supported the construction of a new hospital in Khongxedon district to promote and improve access to health services in Saravan Province.
This new hospital was funded by U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. The handover ceremony of the new hospital was held this week in the presence of Vice Governor of Saravan Province Phouthong Khammanivong and U.S. Ambassador to the Lao PDR Peter M. Haymond.
During the handover ceremony, U.S. Ambassador said “the United States is proud to have partnered with Saravan and the Khongxedon district in providing medical assistance to the people of Saravan over the past two decades, and we are hopeful the recent renovations will ensure that Khongxedon hospital endures for decades more”.

"The Khongxedon district hospital stands as one of many symbols of the United States’ commitment to the health and welfare of the people of Laos and the great friendship between our two countries.”
