(KPL) KB Kolao Leasing, a South Korean company, donated 100 million kip to the Lao National Baseball Association to support its training needs on Nov 26.
The handover ceremony took place at the training centre of the association in Vientiane between CEO of KB Kolao Leasing Yi Si-Kyung and President of the Lao Baseball Association Khamphay Sisavan.
Mr Seo Won-sam, Minister – Counselor, Korea Embassy to the Lao PDR, Mr. Sengphone Phon-amad, Director General, Sport Department, Ministry of Education and Sports, and relevant officials witnessed the ceremony.

“With an aim to promote baseball in Laos, KB has contributed to the selection of local baseball stars. I hope that this donation will help develop baseball in Laos,” said CEO of KB Kolao Leasing Yi Si-Kyung.

Mr Khamphay Sisavan expressed thanks to the KB Kolao Leasing for its support to the Lao Baseball Association.
“It is really great for KB Kolao Leasing to support the dreams and future of unknown players in Laos,” said Mr Je Sung-UK, Secretary General, Korea Baseball Federation.

“Most players at the centre are from provinces, more than 20 hours away from Vientiane. It is the only baseball training center in Laos. Therefore, the Lao government has appointed a foreigner to lead this training center,” said Mr Je Sung-UK.
KB Kolao Leasing is one of the KB Financial Group’s overseas subsidiaries. KB Financial Group has expanded its business to ASEAN countries such as Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia and Myanmar with the Lao branch established in early 2017.
