Coming examination will determine the best students to represent Vientiane Capital atthe National Best Student Exam scheduled for April 2017
(KPL) Some 564 students from primary and secondary schools across Vientiane Capital are expected to take part in a best student exam to be held at Vientiane Secondary School on March 14.
The exam aims to determine the best students of Vientiane Capital to represent the capital city in the National Best Student Exam scheduled for April.
This month’s examination will determine the best students for primary school grade five, matthayom 4 (matthayom = secondary school or education), and matthayom 7.
Objectives of this examination are to evaluate teachers’ teaching ability and student academic dedication in order to improve educational curricula, and promote education,” said Mr Bounthan Sengmany, Head of the Secondary Education Division, Vientiane Capital Department of Education and Sports.
The examination will be divided into three categories. There will be 147 students sitting for the primary school category, 226 students for the lower secondary category, and 190 students for the upper secondary category.
Three subjects have been listed for the primary school category exam namely mathematics, Lao language and general knowledge.
