South Africa hosts meeting of G20 Education Working Group

KPL - Asean 2024 (KPL/Prensa Latina) South Africa is holding a seminar on Tuesday on promoting gender-transformative education for all as a preliminary step to the start of the 3rd meeting of the G20 Education Working Group (EdWG) in the country on Wednesday.

(KPL/Prensa Latina) South Africa is holding a seminar on Tuesday on promoting gender-transformative education for all as a preliminary step to the start of the 3rd meeting of the G20 Education Working Group (EdWG) in the country on Wednesday.

According to a brief ministerial statement, the seminar on promoting gender-transformative education for all is being held at the International Conference Center in Durban, the capital of the southeastern South African province of KwaZulu-Natal.

As such, the 3rd G20 EdWG meetings, under South Africa’s pro tempore presidency, will take place on July 2-3.

The G20 EdWG meetings are held in partnership with the United Nations Girls’ Education Initiative (UNGEI).

The G20 Education Working Group was established during Argentina’s G20 presidency in 2018.
