The anniversary forum brings together international media leaders for panel discussions focused on the evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, media ethics and professional standards. Alongside the industry panels, the gathering features a commemorative photo exhibition and cultural tours of the Russian capital, including Red Square and the Tretyakov Gallery.

A central highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation between OANA President Andrey Kondrashov and Global Fact-Checking Network President Vladimir Tabak.

The agreement establishes a formal framework to coordinate joint initiatives, exchange expertise and elevate professional media standards. The partnership aims to strengthen international fact-checking practices and safeguard the reliability of information across digital media platforms.

The forum also served as a catalyst for deepening regional media ties. Leaders from Malaysia’s Bernama, Russia’s TASS, Vietnam’s VNA, Mongolia's MONTSAME, Oman's ONA, and R. Korea’s Yonhap utilised the gathering to sign bilateral agreements focused on expanding information exchange and mutual capacity building.

Founded in 1961 at the initiative of UNESCO, OANA is a coalition of news agencies from member states across the Asia-Pacific. With 41 member agencies spanning 35 countries, the organisation represents regions that account for more than half of the global population and 60 per cent of the world’s gross domestic product (GDP).
