Thailand Week 2026 officially opened in Vientiane Capital on July 17, bringing together Thai and Lao businesses to strengthen trade and investment ties and expand commercial partnerships between the two countries.
The three-day exhibition, running through July 19 at Parkson Shopping Center, is organized by the Thai Trade Center in Vientiane. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Thawip Rachaphakdee, Director of the Thai Trade Center in Vientiane; Mrs. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Ambassador of Thailand to the Lao PDR; Mr. Thamnong Phonthongmak, President of the Thai Business Association in the Lao PDR, along with government officials, business representatives and invited guests.
The exhibition serves as a platform for Thai companies to showcase high-quality products, services and innovations while creating opportunities to strengthen business partnerships, expand market access and promote investment cooperation with Lao enterprises.
Organizers said the event reflects Thailand's commitment to deepening economic cooperation with the Lao PDR, supporting private-sector development, enhancing product quality and providing consumers with a wider range of internationally recognized goods and services.
The exhibition features a broad selection of products, including food and beverages, fresh fruit, consumer goods, electrical appliances, cosmetics and household products. Business-matching sessions, product demonstrations, promotional campaigns and cultural entertainment activities are also being held throughout the event to encourage commercial exchanges and investment opportunities.
Entrepreneurs, importers, distributors and the public are invited to attend the exhibition, explore business opportunities and further strengthen the growing economic partnership between Laos and Thailand.
