Compared to last year, tourism in Vientiane Province has expanded significantly, supported by the introduction of new destinations such as Feuang District. Known for its pristine natural scenery and the tranquil Lik River, Feuang has quickly become a favorite among nature lovers and regional tourists.
To further stimulate tourism, the province has lined up a range of cultural and recreational events for the final months of 2025, including the traditional Boat Racing Festival, the Kin Jieng Festival, and the Hmong New Year celebration, alongside adventure tourism and marathon activities.
Mr. Sengkeo added that the province continues to promote community-based tourism and encourage local business participation in tourism development. Authorities are working to improve tourism services and facilities in line with ASEAN tourism standards and Laos’ national star rating system, while providing training to tourism operators and stakeholders to enhance service quality and sustainability.
With these ongoing efforts, Vientiane Province aims not only to achieve its year-end target but also to strengthen its position as a leading tourism destination in Laos.
