AHA Centre Donates Aid to Flood Victims in Laos

KPL - Asean 2024 The ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Center) has provided aid to flood victims in Laos.

(KPL) The ASEAN Coordinating Centre for Humanitarian Assistance on Disaster Management (AHA Center) has provided aid to flood victims in Laos.

The handover ceremony took place in Vientiane on September 18, with AHA Centre representative Mr. Andu Madanugaha presenting the aid to Mr. Leepao Yang, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Welfare. Members of the National Disaster Management Committee and other related parties were also in attendance.

The donated items include 508 household kits, 3,000 hygiene kits, 1,000 home repair kits, 2,000 kitchen sets, 3,000 canned food packs, and 5,000 food packages. The total value of the aid exceeds 167,000 USD.

This assistance will be distributed to the affected provinces, helping people restore their lives and recover as quickly as possible.
