Mr. Phet, a member of the Party Central Committee Political Bureau and Head of the Party Central Committee Office, voted at the Group 1 Public Security Office in Chommany Village, Xaysettha District, alongside local residents.

His participation highlighted strong civic engagement across the capital, where large numbers of citizens turned out to exercise their voting rights.

According to Ms. Lienthong Phommachack, Deputy Village Chief of Chommany, the village a key polling hub comprises 118 units across six polling stations. A total of 4,286 voters were eligible to vote, including 2,379 women.

Polling Station No. 1 registered 932 eligible voters, while Polling Unit 6 recorded 648 registered voters. Female voters across the village’s southern, northern and central zones exceeded 3,000.

Election committees reported smooth and well-organized polling operations, with officials and volunteers beginning preparations at 5:00 a.m. to ensure compliance with national regulations.

“The election preparations and polling activities are 100 percent ready,” Ms. Phommachack said, noting orderly and enthusiastic voter participation from early morning.

The election for the 10th National Assembly is widely viewed as an important milestone for national governance, reflecting strong public interest in legislative and provincial administration.
