On February 12, 2026, the Youth Executive Committee of the Party Central Committee Propaganda and Training Board led by Mr. Phouvieng Phongsavathdy, Member of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union and Secretary of the Youth Executive Committee of the Propaganda and Training Board, along with grassroots youth committees and members, laid a flower wreath at the statue of President Kaysone Phomvihane at the Kaysone Phomvihane Museum in Vientiane.
The ceremony was organized to mark several significant milestones:
* Welcoming the 6th Congress of the Party Committee of the Party Central Committee Propaganda and Training Board, which will be held in the near future.
* Celebrating the success of the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 9th Lao Youth Union Central Committee.
* Commemorating three historic days of the Party and the nation namely the 70 anniversary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, the 50th anniversary of the Lao PDR and 105th birth anniversary of President Kaysone Phomvihane.
Honoring a Great Leader
The wreath-laying ceremony serves as an expression of profound respect and gratitude toward President Kaysone Phomvihane—the outstanding and beloved leader of the Party, the State, and the entire Lao nation.
As a leader who mentored, trained, and guided the youth to become consistently strong, his name remains inseparable from the revolutionary cause of Laos. He led the nation through both the struggle for national liberation and the subsequent era of protection and development. Furthermore, he was the pioneer of the Party’s principled "Renovation" policy, which has secured glorious victories for the country.
Educational Values and Heritage
This event also aimed to inspire the youth across the Propaganda and Training Board to absorb and internalize the lessons, revolutionary ethics, and ideology of President Kaysone Phomvihane and apply these principles to their professional duties and daily lives.
Following the ceremony, the delegation toured the museum to view historical artefacts and photographs detailing the revolutionary activities of President Kaysone Phomvihane.
