PMO Holds Handover Ceremony for New Department Heads
(KPL) On June 30, 2025, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) held a handover ceremony to transfer leadership of key departments following internal restructuring.
Mr. Chanthaphone Keomalavong handed over duties to Ms. Vilasaty Sombounkhan as Head of Administration, Protocol and Finance; Mr. Khomsan Sayasan passed leadership of the Department of Legislation to Mr. Patthana Soukaloun (Acting Director); and Ms. Vilasaty Sombounkhan handed over the Department of Public Relations to Mr. Khomsan Sayasan.
The event was attended by PMO Minister Bouakhong Nammavong and Deputy Minister of Public Security Lyvong Laoly. Leaders praised the contributions of outgoing officials and expressed confidence in the new team’s ability to strengthen governance and lead reform.
The handover aligns with the PMO’s expanded role following the consolidation of functions from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
