The Lao Red Cross Society (LRCS) has officially announced its new organisational structure and senior appointments during a ceremony held on 31 March 2026, at the National Blood Institute.

The event was presided over by Mr Khamlavan Chanthalavan, Member of the Party Central Committee and President of the Lao Red Cross Society. The ceremony was attended by members of the Party Committee, senior officials from the LRCS and the National Blood Institute, party members, and other relevant stakeholders.

Senior Appointments

During the proceedings, it was confirmed that, in accordance with Decree No. 34/PM, dated 4 March 2026, the Prime Minister has officially appointed Dr Chanthala Souksakhone as Vice President of the Lao Red Cross Society.

Under the same decree, Ms Aikham Sorinxay has been appointed as the Head of the Fundraising and Disaster Relief Office of the Lao Red Cross Society. These appointments form a key part of the organisation's ongoing efforts to strengthen its leadership and operational capacity in delivering humanitarian services across the country.
