Kokkok Mart Partners with the Australian Embassy to present "Taste of Australia 2026", Highlighting Premium Quality Australian Products

Kokkok Mega Mart Phonsinuan and the Australian Embassy in Vientiane officially launched the "Taste of Australia 2026". This event demonstrates the growing Australia-Laos trade relationship while offering Lao society the opportunity to experience a diverse range of world-class consumer products from Australia. Through this collaboration, Kokkok continues to reinforce its position as a leading retailer of imported products in Laos while showcasing Australia’s high-quality food, beverage, personal care and household goods.
Under the theme of "Premium Nature, Clean Living and Authentic Taste", the event was honoured by the presence of Ms Megan Jones, Australian Ambassador to the Lao PDR, Mr. Niwat Dawloy, GCEO of Kokkok Mart and Mr Mone Phetphouthai, Deputy Director General of the Enterprise Registration Department, who jointly presided over the ribbon‑cutting and opening ceremony. Also in attendance were senior representatives from relevant ministries, along with members of the Lao and Australian business communities.
Mr. Niwat Dawloy, GCEO of Kokkok Mart, revealed that, "this Taste of Australia 2026 event is a continuation of the success of our previous international product campaigns. We see that Lao consumers today, especially families and younger generations, are paying more attention to their wellness and looking for high quality products. Importing products from Australia, which is renowned for its cleanliness, safety, and international standards, meets market demands and helps stimulate the retail economy."
Ambassador Megan Jones emphasised the strong bilateral economic relationship, stating, "Australia is very pleased to present our premium quality products to the Lao market through our partnership with Kokkok Mart. This event not only promotes Australian products but also serves as a cultural link and platform to strengthen business cooperation, provides opportunities for businesses to engage in trade activities and further deepens economic relationships between Australia and Laos. The event also aligns with Australia’s Southeast Asia Economic Strategy to 2040, which aims to strengthening trade and investment links with Laos and the region. "
Throughout the two-week event period, customers will find many special products directly from Australia, such as Bickford’s beverages, Shapes crispy snacks, Australia’s Own organic almond milk, and Kuranda Wholefoods nutritious nut bars, along with special promotional discounts.
