The donation will support commemorative activities marking the 80th anniversary of the Battle of Thakhek (March 21, 1946) and celebrations for the designation of Hin Nam No National Park as Laos’ first UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.

The funds were handed over by Yang Shuo, Chairman of Asia-Potash International (China) and CEO of Asia-Potash International (Laos) Co., Ltd., and received by Xaysana Khoutphouthone, Governor of Khammouane Province.

Provincial authorities expressed appreciation for the company’s contribution, noting that the support helps ease government budget constraints while ensuring the successful organization of the two landmark events.

Officials also acknowledged Asia-Potash International as a key partner in Khammouane’s development, citing the company’s tax contributions and corporate social responsibility activities supporting the province’s socio-economic growth.

During the ceremony, Governor Xaysana presented an official certificate of commendation to Yang Shuo and the company’s delegation in recognition of their support.
