(KPL) On January 6, 2026, in Vientiane,  Mr. Hongthong Chanthachit, a member of the Standing Committee of the Houaphan Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Sam Neua District Party Committee, has expressed pride and honor in representing Houaphan Province as an official delegate to the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party.

Mr. Hongthong said he fully supports and agrees with the political report delivered by the Party Secretary-General, as well as the socio-economic development plan presented by the Prime Minister during the morning sessions of the Congress. He noted that the reports clearly reflect the country’s development direction and provide practical guidance for future implementation.

Highlighting developments at the provincial level, Mr. Hongthong said Houaphan Province has maintained political stability, social order, and steady progress, with local people living peacefully and actively engaged in production and daily livelihoods.

He added that the provincial economy has continued to grow, particularly in revenue collection, which has exceeded assigned targets over the past five years. This achievement, he said, has played an important role in supporting local development and improving living conditions.

Following the conclusion of the 12th National Party Congress, Mr. Hongthong stated that he will focus on widely disseminating the spirit and resolutions of the Congress to cadres, Party members, and the public throughout Houaphan Province. He also reaffirmed his commitment to translating national policies into concrete actions in Sam Neua District, ensuring that implementation is practical and aligned with local conditions.
