Tourism Malaysia Vientiane and Embassy of Malaysia Kick Off “Visit Malaysia 2026” Campaign at Wattay International Airport

(KPL) On January 1, 2026, Tourism Malaysia Vientiane, in collaboration with the Embassy of Malaysia, successfully launched the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) campaign with a promotional send-off event for AirAsia flight AK553 at Wattay International Airport.
At 7:00 a.m., officials welcomed 170 passengers departing from Vientiane to Kuala Lumpur. To mark the official start of the VM2026 campaign, representatives distributed commemorative goody bags and tourism information to all passengers.
This initiative aims to strengthen travel ties between Laos and Malaysia, while inviting Laotian and international visitors to explore Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage, natural attractions, and year-round tourism activities.
