(KPL) President of the National Assembly of the Lao PDR Sonexay Siphandone will pay an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from November 2–5, 2026, at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart, Tran Thanh Man.

Mr. Sonexay Siphandone, a Member of the Politburo of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee, will be accompanied by his spouse and a high-level delegation from the National Assembly of the Lao PDR.

The visit aims to further strengthen the great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation and strategic partnership between Laos and Vietnam, as well as enhance cooperation between the two countries' legislative bodies.

It is also expected to deepen ties between the two Parties, States and peoples, promoting closer cooperation and further practical outcomes in bilateral relations
