(KPL) The opening ceremony was attended by Saengsaden Bounlavong, Director General of the Department of International Relations at the Ministry of Education and Sports, and Souksakhone Sengsulivong, Deputy Director of LJI, along with representatives of the Embassy of Japan, the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Japanese universities and education-related organizations.
Since 2008, LJI, in cooperation with the Japanese Embassy and JICA, has organized study promotion activities to strengthen academic exchanges and help Lao students pursue bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in Japan.
This year’s fair featured representatives from Asia University, Nagasaki University, Okayama University and Musashino University, as well as Oji Language School. The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) and the Japan Alumni Association of Laos also participated.
The programme included university presentations, scholarship briefings and experience-sharing sessions with Lao graduates of Japanese universities. Students and teachers also had opportunities to consult directly with university representatives about admission requirements, academic programmes and scholarship applications, including Japanese government scholarships under the Monbukagakusho (MEXT) programme.
The fair aims to expand educational opportunities for Lao students, strengthen cooperation between Japanese universities and the National University of Laos, and support human resource development through international education
