(KPL) Ms. Sengkeo Vongphachan, Director of Nonkhor Market, said pork stalls had reopened after the market complied with national restrictions on livestock movement. All pork entering the market must undergo veterinary inspection and be accompanied by valid health certificates.

Mr. Viengkham Lorvanxay, Head of Nonkhor Market Management, said authorities had increased surveillance of pork suppliers, particularly in provinces affected by ASF. Major commercial suppliers, including CP, 3F and authorised livestock distributors, were allowed to resume deliveries after meeting required health and safety standards and reporting no new infections at source as of September 26.

Market management continues to coordinate with veterinary officials to conduct inspections and maintain hygiene standards.

Pork and vegetable prices have remained stable, while beef prices have fallen slightly. Vendors said customers have responded positively since pork sales resumed.

Current retail prices at the market are about 80,000 kip per kilogramme for pork, 75,000 kip for pork leg and 60,000–65,000 kip for pork offal.

Market authorities and vendors encouraged consumers to purchase pork from approved sources, where products are subject to veterinary inspection and required documentation.
