President Thongloun Sisoulith will attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Plus (SCO Plus) Dialogue Summit in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, from August 31 to September 1, 2026, according to an official announcement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Lao PDR.

Following the summit, at the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President Thongloun Sisoulith will lead a high-level Lao delegation on an official visit to Kazakhstan from September 3 to 4, 2026.

This visit aims to further strengthen the enduring bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.
