(KPL)The Bokeo Domestic and International Freight Transport Association has partnered with Speed Intertrade Co., Ltd. to provide cross-border cement logistics, strengthening transport links between northern Laos and Thailand.

The partnership agreement was signed recently at the Fourth Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge international border checkpoint. The deal covers two transport formats — bulk cement (tanker) and bagged cement — using 22-wheel trailer trucks.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Soulixay Inthasen, Head of the Association’s Office, and Mr. Manu Phuthima, Director of Speed Intertrade Co., Ltd. Witnesses included Mr. Khamphai Phongthachak, Deputy Head of the Bokeo Department of Public Works and Transport, and Mr. Xayphone Phetbounmee, Head of the Bridge Management Committee, along with relevant officials.

Under the arrangement, cement will be transported from the Jiangge Cement Factory in Namor District via Route 13 North and Route R3 through Luang Namtha Province to Bokeo Province, with final delivery across the border to Chiang Khong District.

During the meeting, Mr. Soulixay outlined previous cement transport operations and presented future management plans for both bulk and bagged services. The Association also invited interested companies to coordinate directly to participate in the transport operations.
