Public and Private Sectors Hand Over Contributions for 12th Party Congress

(KPL) With preparations underway for the 12th National Congress of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, public and private sector representatives on January 5 handed over financial contributions and supplies to support the major national event.
The Congress is scheduled to take place from January 6 to 8 in Vientiane Capital.
The donations, which included cash, consumer goods, and commemorative items, were officially received by Minister of Finance Santiphab Phomvihane on behalf of the Lao government, in the presence of relevant officials.
Among the contributors, Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public (BCEL) donated cash and souvenirs valued at more than 300 million kip, presented by BCEL Managing Director Saisamone Chanthachack.
Meanwhile, Xaysomboun Province contributed 200 million kip in cash along with two metric tons of oranges, with the donation presented by Phoykham Houngboungnouang, Secretary of the Xaysomboun Provincial Party Committee.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Minister Santiphab expressed appreciation to all contributing sectors, noting their strong sense of responsibility and support for the Party Congress.
He emphasized that the funds and goods would be used efficiently to ensure smooth organization and successful implementation of all Congress activities.
The 12th National Party Congress is a significant political event, drawing nationwide attention as the country prepares for its opening sessions.
