(KPL) A delegation of over 50 foreign journalists from the Asia-Pacific and Eurasia regions, currently participating in the 2025 Study-Exchange Programs under the China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC) in Beijing, embarked on the final leg of their tour titled “China Up Close Tianjin Tour” from June 18–20.

The group also included a team of Chinese reporters from China Global Television Network (CGTN), led by Mr. Jambu Zhang, Head of CIPCC.

The delegation was supported by the Tianjin Municipal People’s Government, particularly the Information Office. Tianjin, a city with more than 600 years of rich history, has evolved into a modern, prosperous, and culturally vibrant metropolis. The city has successfully preserved its cultural heritage, traditions, and identity through various forms of art and performance.

Upon arrival on June 18, the press group began their visit at Tianjin Ancient Culture Street. Known for its Qing Dynasty-style architecture, the area offers a vivid display of local lifestyle, traditional handicrafts, and Tianjin’s signature cuisine sold in colorful shops lining both sides of the street. The street is considered a must-see cultural destination.

The delegation then visited Tianjin Port Impression, an upgraded exhibition site promoting the city's cultural and commercial tourism. Inside, visitors explored a diverse collection of local products, including fine wines, traditional Chinese medicine at the Darentang Healthy Life Hall, and handmade crafts at the Clay Figurine Zhang Gallery.

According to guides at the exhibition, Tianjin Port Impression serves not only as a showcase of the city’s unique products but also as part of the Tianjin Port Company’s Port Industry Linkage Project. Located in the historic Old Cultural Street, a nationally designated 5A-level tourist site, the project connects culture, commerce, and tourism to offer visitors an immersive cultural experience and insights into Tianjin’s development.

In the evening, the journalists enjoyed a scenic boat ride along the Haihe River. The journey highlighted the harmonious blend of tradition and modernity, with beautifully lit bridges, iconic skyscrapers, and informative commentary on the river’s historical and cultural significance. The riverbanks, undergoing continuous beautification and development, are symbols of Tianjin’s modernization efforts.
