Action Plan for Green Primary Health Care Project Disseminated

(KPL) The dissemination meeting for the Five-Year Plan and 2026 Annual Action Plan of the Green Primary Health Care Project (GPHCP) was held on August 26–27, 2026, in Vientiane.
The meeting was co-chaired by Mrs. Viengmanee Bounkham, Director General of the Planning and Finance Department under the Ministry of Health, and Mr. Amr J. Qari, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Lao PDR Resident Mission. It was attended by department heads, representatives from ministries and agencies, delegates from Provincial Health Departments in five target provinces—Oudomxay, Luang Prabang, Xieng Khouang, Savannakhet, and Champasak—along with project experts, consultants, and development partners.
The meeting aimed to disseminate the project's five-year activity forecasts, 2026 annual action plan, and budget allocations to central implementing agencies and provincial implementation units.
Participants also discussed project management mechanisms, Design and Monitoring Framework (DMF) indicators, financial management procedures, procurement plans, and environmental and social safeguard measures to ensure a common understanding among implementing agencies.
In addition, participants reviewed overall project progress and received updates from central departments and provincial coordination units in the five target provinces.
Group discussions were also held to prepare the 2027 Annual Action Plan, ensuring that planned activities remain aligned with key project deliverables and implementation priorities.
