The programme focused on the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism, providing participants with practical training in digital storytelling, multimedia production, and emerging technologies shaping the future of news reporting.
Journalists attended expert lectures, hands-on workshops, and professional discussions aimed at strengthening cross-border media cooperation and enhancing reporting skills in the digital era.
As part of the programme, participants visited JD.com and the Beijing Innovation Centre of Humanoid Robotics, where they explored how AI, robotics, and smart technologies are being applied across industry, public services, and modern newsroom operations.

The event also provided a platform for journalists to exchange perspectives on regional issues, explore new storytelling approaches, and discuss ways to present local culture and community stories to international audiences through digital media.

At the closing ceremony, outstanding participants were recognized for excellence in digital journalism. A team of Lao journalists received the Award for AI Innovation Work in recognition of the creativity, technological application, and practical impact of their AI-based media projects.
