(KPL) The Economic and Fundraising Committee, under the Finance Department of Vientiane Capital, has confirmed its full readiness to support the successful organization of the XII National Games, which will be hosted by Vientiane Capital from November 15, 2025.

The committee has focused on systematically organizing and implementing all financial and fundraising tasks in line with relevant regulations, emphasizing transparency, accountability, and adherence to legal principles governing budget management.

Mr. Viengsaly Inthaphom, Deputy Head of the Finance Department of Vientiane Capital and Deputy Head of the Economic and Fundraising Committee, reported on October 29, 2025, that financial preparations and fundraising activities for the Games are progressing well. Following approval for the appointment of various committees, the Finance Department established three subcommittees to manage the work: the Administrative Subcommittee, the Budget and Finance Subcommittee, and the Market and Benefits Subcommittee, each with clearly defined responsibilities. The overall budget plan has been completed, including detailed revenue and expenditure frameworks.

The committee has coordinated with 13 organizing committees, of which 10 have submitted budget plans and 8 have completed joint budget reviews, including the Technical and Competition Management, Youth Activities, Stadium Improvement, Transportation, Opening and Closing Ceremony, Accommodation and Food, Medical and Health, and Media and Information Committees.

In collaboration with the Improvement and Repair Committee, the Economic and Fundraising Committee has overseen the upgrading of five sports venues, with the procurement process completed and construction work nearly 100% finished. The procurement of five categories of sports equipment has also been finalized, with the results awaiting approval by the organizing president.

Mr. Viengsaly reaffirmed that the committee is fully prepared to achieve its fundraising goals and ensure efficient, transparent budget management for the successful hosting of the XII National Games in Vientiane Capital.
