(KPL) Vientiane, February 26, 2025 – Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Mrs. Suansavanh Viyaket, hosted a farewell meeting for Philippine Ambassador to Laos, Ms. Deena Joy Amatong, as she concluded her diplomatic mission in the Lao PDR.
Minister Suansavanh commended Ambassador Amatong for her successful tenure, which significantly contributed to strengthening the friendly relations and cooperation between Laos and the Philippines. She highlighted the ambassador’s efforts in enhancing bilateral ties across various sectors, including politics, economy, tourism, human resource development, health, and labor.
Wishing her success in future endeavors, Minister Suansavanh expressed hope that Ambassador Amatong would continue to support the deepening of cooperation between the two nations.
In response, Ambassador Amatong expressed gratitude to the Lao government and people for their support throughout her mission. She reaffirmed her commitment to serving as a bridge for further strengthening the longstanding friendship and collaboration between Laos and the Philippines.
