Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has arrived in Vientiane for a series of high-level meetings aimed at reinforcing ties between Vietnam and Laos.

Mr Chinh landed at Wattay International Airport on Tuesday morning, where he was received by Bouakhong Nammavong, Minister and Head of the Prime Minister’s Office, along with senior officials from the Lao government and representatives of Vientiane authorities.
During his visit, the Vietnamese Prime Minister will take part in a high-level dialogue between the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP). He will also co-chair the 48th meeting of the Vietnam–Laos Intergovernmental Committee alongside his Lao counterpart.
The agenda includes bilateral talks with Lao leaders and the co-chairing of the Vietnam–Laos Economic Forum, which is expected to focus on strengthening economic cooperation and reviewing progress in joint projects.
